Diana (Di) resides in Fallbrook, CA, where she operates as a Maternal Mental Health Advocate, Perinatal Energy Therapist, Certified Peer Support Specialist, and a 200-Hour Yoga Instructor. A proud Latina mother of three, she shares a loving union with her patient and caring husband. Having survived Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs)—an experience that posed significant risks to her life and that of her baby—Di dedicates herself to raising awareness about Perinatal Mental Health Disorders and Maternal Mental Health.
Her life's mission centers around conducting presentations, conferences, and workshops in both English and Spanish. She firmly believes that early education plays a pivotal role in preserving lives, particularly within BIPOC communities where conversations on the subject remain notably absent. Collaborating with deeplyinvolved advocates, she strives to uplift the well-being of mothers and their families in a secure and nurturing environment.
Di's dedication to safe childbirth extends beyond the physical aspects, encompassing the emotional and psychological well-being of the mother. She believes in providing emotional support, empowering informed decision-making, and ensuring the mother's comfort and dignity throughout the birthing process. Recognizing the paramount importance of safe childbirth, she aims to diminish maternal and infant mortality rates, improve overall maternal and child health outcomes, and help create a positive journey into motherhood.
Her passion to empower mothers during childbirth and dismantle the stigma surrounding Maternal Mental Health (MMH) stems from her personal journey navigating PMADs. Di's commitment to advocating for safe birth and nurturing maternal mental health aligns her deeply with the cause, enhancing her invaluable contribution to the community.
